Pokémon Go players have eagerly been waiting for the chance to transfer their favorite Pokémon into Pokémon Home and potentially receive Pokémon from their favorite games. When the Pokémon Home service initially launched in February, Pokémon Go could not connect with the online service. Niantic and The Pokémon Company had a bit of work to do before this happened. Both companies have promised that a feature would be arriving before the end of 2020, and we have a few more details about it.
We don't have any official information from Niantic at this time. Most of the information we've discovered surrounding the Pokémon Go and Pokémon Home connecting comes from the Pokéminers group who did an extensive breakdown on October 29. Many of the details the team shared were centered on what players could expect from Pokémon Home working on Pokémon Go. Much of this information is speculation, so when Niantic officially comment on the matter, we'll modify the information here to share the specifics.
While Pokemon Sword and Shield launched back in November, fans were waiting for the arrival of the previously announced Pokemon Home as a way to store Pokemon across multiple different generations that they could partially bring over into Pokemon Sword and Shield if they are part of the Pokedex. These Pokemon will also go to Pokemon Home via one of the Gen 4 games (Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum) or one of the Gen 2 remakes (Pokemon Heart Gold and Pokemon Soul Silver), so you need.
It looks like players will need to connect their Nintendo accounts, which makes sense. The Pokémon Home application works on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch devices. You probably want to use your Nintendo Switch while you send them over from your Pokémon Go account because it might be difficult doing those both from the same mobile device.
You won't be able to send every single Pokémon in your Pokémon Go collection to Home. You can't send any shadow, costumed, or Mega-Evolved Pokémon to Home. You also can't do it as often as possible. In the code, it appears there's an energy amount associated with Pokémon Home, which means that when you don't have enough energy, you'll have to wait for it to recharge. There is likely going to be an option in the Pokémon Go store to restore this energy to send more, but it won't be required.
When Pokémon Home does become compatible with Pokémon Go, players can send and retrieve a variety of Pokémon. There might be some restrictions, but Niantic has not shared too many official rules or details. It's also important to note that any Pokémon sent from Home to Go cannot leave the mobile device. They will remain inside of Go for the foreseeable future.

While Pokemon Sword and Shield launched back in November, fans were waiting for the arrival of the previously announced Pokemon Home as a way to store Pokemon across multiple different generations that they could partially bring over into Pokemon Sword and Shield if they are part of the Pokedex. Sometimes there are Pokemon that you just can't acquire, whether it be not available in your version or perhaps being one of the other starters. For that reason, Game Freak in the past implemented what was known as the Global Trading System, or GTS, as a way to help with this and now it has returned for this generation via Pokemon Home.
How To Use GTS
Pokemon Home has launched on not only the Nintendo Switch, but mobile devices as well. In fact, the mobile version of the app offers a lot more features for you to mess around with, one of which is GTS.
Starting off, you need to download Pokemon Home on iOS or Android and link it to your My Nintendo account. You are going to want to make sure you have all of your Pokemon that you want within this, whether that means transferring them from Pokemon Bank or from games like Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon Let's Go, and Pokemon Go.
Once you have the Pokemon you want to put up for trade, open back up your Pokemon Home app and tap to start. On this screen, tap the 'Trade' tab on the top left of the screen, which brings up a new window with even more options for you to choose from.
On this screen, you want to tap on GTS, which provide you with two options, 'Deposit Pokemon' and 'Search for Pokemon.' At this point, you can place any of your Pokemon up for trade that you have, with you being limited to one on the free plan and up to three on the premium subscription. When you deposit a Pokemon, you also have to specify which Pokemon you would like in return. This includes options such as gender and level as well if you have a preference.

If you'd rather just browse what has already been put up through GTS, go back and pick the 'Search for Pokemon' option, which gives you an array of choices to choose from. This shows all the Pokemon that have been put up for trade and what each person wants in return. If you see one that matches what you have, you can execute the trade right then and there.
